THERESA GABRIEL – COUNCILLOR

Theresa Gabriel is the eldest of two daughters of Dave George and Joan Gabriel. She is also the proud mother of three beautiful daughters and guardian to her niece of seventeen years. Theresa has a strong commitment towards youth empowerment and helping her community living a healthy and active lifestyle. One of the ways she is able to do this is through administering the Education Department for the Osoyoos Indian Band, which is her current, full time position. She also volunteers her time facilitating fitness classes for the community members three times a week and has had a great participation rate. This is Theresa’s first term as a council member and hopes this will give her the opportunity to learn more and actively participate in the economic development of her band. Theresa is very proud of all the things the Osoyoos Indian Band has accomplished and looks forward to being part of communications and development of the future. Theresa is very thankful to her band membership for giving her this opportunity to learn and grow and accepts this responsibility with honor and gratitude.
