Sammy Jo Louie – Communication Specialist

Communications & Special Events Coordinator

Sammy has been working with OIBDC since the beginning of 2007 as an Account Clerk Trainee. She trained at the Nk’Mip Campground & RV Park assisting with Administration where they contracted with Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre as well. Sammy began with OIBDC & OIBHC directly in 2009 as their account clerk and at the end of summer of 2011 she took the position as Communications and Special events Coordinator.

Many of her duties require booking travel/events, organizing tours of OIB for various Aboriginal groups visiting, assisting with marketing, organizing important meetings and taking minutes for OIBDC/Chief and Council meetings.

Sammy is a member of the OIB community and enjoys working so close to home as well as for the OIB/OIBDC team and their staff.
