Katherine MacNeill – Chief Financial Officer

CFO – Katherine MacNeill, BA, CMA

Katherine joined the OIBDC Executive Team in 2011 and is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the various Band empowered businesses. Other key responsibilities include strategic planning, capital purchases, taxation strategies, policy development, information technology enhancement, internal and external analysis and reporting, risk management and researching new business opportunities. As a senior manager since 1983, with extensive financial and management experience in economic development, construction projects, property management, vineyards, wineries, wholesale publishing, manufacturing, and recreation, Katherine has also worked with non-profit organizations and spent over four years in public accounting. She served on the Board of Directors as Director, Vice President and President for Certified Management Accountants of BC during the period 1992-1997.

Katherine is proud of her Native heritage and family connections with the Kwakwaka’wakw people on the north end of Vancouver Island.
